Pink + blue = purple. And I don’t think we need any purple up in here.

As my final “thing” for this conference I’ve been speaking at, I was scheduled to speak to middle and high school girls at a church this morning.  The format was basically that the girls would write their anonymous questions for me on note cards and I would randomly draw and answer them in front of the whole group.

Yes, this had “flaming disaster” written all over it but I reluctantly happily soldiered on.

There is so much I could share with you, but as I have a very important lunch date with 10 lovely college girls at The Best Restaurant On Earth (you may know it as Cracker Barrel), I will share just a short list of the questions along with my actual answers:

1. When were you called into ministry?  Girls, I’m not sure that “called” would be the correct word.  It was more like pushed, pulled… basically dragged kicking and screaming right into ministry.  Imagine a child laying on the floor of a grocery store having a fit because their mom won’t let them have a candy bar.  That was me in a nutshell.

2. What do you do if the guy you like wants to date your best friend (who is a girl)?  You hold your head up and keep your smile steady.  And, you join the rest of us who have had that exact same thing happen to them.  It is a rite of passage, my loves.  Also, see example of my life from 7th grade until 9th grade; vicious love rectangle happened.

3. Why is my brother so annoying?  As a girl who also has a brother, I feel I can really speak authoritatively on this topic.  My answer is: I have no idea.  But here’s my phone number in case you ever find out.  I’d love to know the secret.

And, my personal favorite:

4. How do a girl and a boy have babies?  Ask your mom.  And, see the title of today’s blog.

And with that, I’m off to lunch.  Happy Sunday, interlings!
