I’d love to actually WRITE a post, but did I mention that I took 9 college girls for a sleepover last night?

HelloIamverytired.

I believe now would be the perfect opportunity for me to mention that sometimes I make really, really bad decisions related to Starlite.

And, in the interest of keepin’ it real for all of the interlings, I would like to share what could go down in Starlite history as “The Stupidest Decision I’ve Ever Made.”

Last night, as my college cuties began to settle down for the evening (actually, I believe it was morning by this time, but who’s counting, really?), I made the fatal mistake of saying “Oh, I forgot I have cupcakes for you all in my car!”

I know.  Go ahead and say it out loud with me: idiot.

The sugar, it was brutal.  As soon as it began coursing through their veins, I knew I was in trouble.  The girls were everywhere.  I believe I my have actually seen Jenelle bouncing off a wall.

Literally.

And so, as much as I’d love to write a sweet little post about what a lovely time we had, I’d much rather go take a nap.  A long nap.  Perhaps a nap that lasts until my alarm clock goes off tomorrow morning.

But I’ll leave you with some pictures because I’m sure you’ve been on the very edge of your seat waiting to hear how our sleepover went.  Next time, I’ll be happy to let you chaperone it.

I will, of course, need you to sign a release form.  Trust me, you’ll thank me later.

Ahem.  Let us begin.

Here we have my girls at the park.  I decided it might be a good idea for them to run off some of that extra energy.

Jenelle went straight for the slide.

Meanwhile, Magen played the role of playground supervisor from up above.

Believe it or not, they finally got tired enough to pose for a picture together.

After attending church at my home church this morning, we headed to our restaurant of choice, Cracker Barrel.  We ran into my favorite six year old at the church and asked if she’d like to have lunch with a bunch of crazy college girls.

She said no, but we made her come anyway.

While we waited for a table, little MacKenzie and I spent some quality time in the rocking chairs outside the restaurant.  In fact, it even included me telling her a story about a beautiful princess named… well, you guessed it: Princess MacKenzie.

Please note the adorable pink headband with my initials embroidered on it.  Each girl on our leadership team has one to match our hoodies.  While it may seem like I got them so we could look coordinated, the real reason is it helps me keep up with them.  And, you know, remember their names.

I’m just sayin’.

But seriously?  My college girls?  I kinda love ‘em.  While I watched them run around like little girls in the park this morning, I kept thinking about how I wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world.

“How beautiful… are the feet of those who bring good news.” Isaiah 52:7

How beautiful, indeed.
