Although it can’t be denied that God always shows up for Sunday Chicken at the Barrel. Can I get an amen?
Remember how I posted some adorable pictures of me and six year old MacKenzie earlier this week?
Don’t worry: I’m calling her adorable, not me.
Anyway, I was going back through the pictures last night and I came across this one that I think will interest you very, very much:
What’s that you say, interlings? The picture doesn’t seem that interesting? Oh. Well, let me give you the uncropped version of said picture:
Um, HELLO?!?! I would like to know when it became cool to engage in a little PDA while sitting in rocking chairs outside of Cracker Barrel? Don’t worry, I blacked out that boy’s eyes so that he couldn’t be recognized.
But then again, if you’re willing to engage in the PDA outside of a restaurant that mainly attracts 70 year old men… and, well, me, I think you deserve to be recognized on a bright pink bloggy.
Truth be told, after I looked at the picture for a few horrifying seconds, I got a little sad that I didn’t have someone to kiss while sitting in rocking chairs waiting for chicken and dumplings.
But then I remembered that he’s always there with me, even if I can’t see him.
I am, of course, talking about my Imaginary Boyfriend, not God. Of course, God is always there with me too, even if I can’t see Him.
I just don’t think God is all that into chicken and dumplings. And, you know, PDA on the porch.

I love that you have an imaginary boyfriend. And that you talk about him and call him by his initials. Man, you make me smile.
