Friday’s Face — meet Jenelle!
Edited to add: I wasn’t going to mention it on the bloggy, but since I’m getting about a bajillion emails asking me if I know that I was a winner in the writing contest for Virtuous Reality, I thought I’d tell you that, yes I did see the announcement! It was a lovely surprise to see both of my articles place in the contest. Good thing I didn’t write about my hair, huh?
We’ve got a lot of new people here at MinSoFab this week, so here’s a little overview of what Friday’s Face is: basically I pick one of our college leaders each week and feature a mini-interview with them along with a few pictures of them. And then you, the readers, will send me emails saying “Where did you find all these beautiful college girls?” and I will say “I do not know. They are drawn to us like magnets.” Because? Really? My leadership team girls are gorgeous.
I believe you’ve met today’s Friday’s Face before, interlings. Remember that time I told you about the girl who would not stop talking about her blanket even though her very life was threatened if she did not go to bed RIGHT THEN? Oh, good, you remember.
Once again, I bring you Jenelle in all of her… well, Jenelle-ness.
Jenelle. I don’t even know where to begin.
What do you mean? There is so much to say, it’s easy to start, I’ll start, my name is Jenelle —– —- and I was born in Burbank, CA and I have two sisters… No, I’m totally kidding. I won’t give you my life story. Yet.
You’ll thank me later for not including your middle and last names, Jenelle. You know, I think I may have written more about you on the bloggy than anyone else in Starlite.
I know! That sleepover was amazing and so much fun! Hey, do you want to know anything else about my blanket? My kinda boyfriend Jon (AND MY BEST FRIEND IN THE ENTIRE WORLD) made it for me!
I’m sorry you don’t have a boyfriend, AB. You totally deserve one.
Um, I have an Imaginary Boyfriend. Don’t be trying to steal my man, Jenelle. I’ll take you down.
Well, I have this other guy in my life right now, his name is Jon, and did I tell you? He is pretty much AMAZING and I love him, so you can have him!
I assume you are referring to me having my IB, not your Jon. Okay, spill it: title and responsibilities in Starlite.
I am one of the assistant directors of Sparkle at a certain middle school… aka, the best one ever!
I know you’ve only been with us since January, but do you have a favorite Starlite moment yet?
It would have to be dancing onstage to “It’s Raining Men!” with 9 other leadership team ladies at the last middle school sleepover. NOW IF ONLY GOD WOULD MAKE THAT TRUE. But I love you, sweetie!
I really don’t know what to say. I suppose “thank you” is the most appropriate. So, since you’re a daily reader of the bloggy, you’re oh so aware that we have people from all over who read and don’t actually know us. If you could tell them one thing about Starlite, what would you say?
Ummm… I’d say “Starlite is the best ministry for girls that I’ve ever been a part of and I don’t care if you think that doesn’t matter considering it is my first time working with an all-girl’s ministry.”
Wow. I hate to say this, but I don’t think you’re going to be on our PR team, Jenelle. But on a happier note, what do you want to be when you grow up?
A Disney Princess. No joke. That’s my little girl dream, but I seriously want to work for Disney someday… somehow. Maybe giving tours or something like that. Or, I’d like to make money praising Jesus somehow.
Jenelle, I think you’re pretty hilarious.
Awwwww, I love you too, AB! And hey, have I told you enough about the blanket Jon gave me?
