I’ve got a surprise for you…
Now I know you’re going to think I’m absolutely crazy, but I am loving this Monday morning. Mainly because I went to bed in a bad mood last night and woke up in a much better one this morning.
I don’t have bad moods that often. I get sad or cry quite a bit, but that comes from my job. But I don’t really get angry or mad. However, by 7 p.m. last night, I was thisclose to throwing a temper tantrum right there in my living room.
And wouldn’t you know it all had to do with BOYS.
I called my friend Allison and told her I needed her to pray for me. Which is, of course, code for “I do want you to pray, but first, please let me talk out what is going on to make me feel this way.” She knows the code (what girl doesn’t?) so I spent a few minutes telling her various things including, but not limited to a reminder that girls rule and boys drool.
I’m going to be spending some time away from the office later this week, so I decided that maybe I should try to get some extra work done. So I headed over to the Starlite office, did a couple of things and then finally gave up and went back home. I crawled into bed, said a short yet direct prayer (i.e. “Deliver me from boys”) and went to sleep.
And so now, I am MUCH BETTER. In fact, I got to the office way early this morning and started thinking about how I could celebrate this ordinary Monday morning. And then, on my desk, I spied it.
My $10 Starbucks gift card that I won.
I haven’t used it yet, especially since I’ve given up caffeine for 100 days, so what better way to say good morning to my lovely interlings than to give it away to one of you?
So, tomorrow morning, I’ll randomly pick a number of one of the people who leaves a comment on this post. Sadly, this is only open to interlings who live in the US even though I love the rest of you, too. One comment per person, too.
So, enter away! And, good morning to you, too!

I was driving through town yesterday and passed a Starbucks. I said to myself “self, maybe it’s time. Maybe this will be the day you pull in and try some Starbucks.” I didn’t stop, still have never had Starbucks. Count me in! Then I’ll have to try it, and I’ll have something to blog about.

I haven’t had Starbucks in so long, cause I’m so poor. This would truly be a gift from above.

Oh, that’s super sad that you have to give it away, but i am so proud of you for doing it. You know i’d break that caffeine-less-ness in about 2.3 seconds for some Starbucks!

I had to kick my MAJOR Starbucks habit a few years back when I realized I was spending well over a hundred dollars a month there. Yikes. But any time I can get a gift card, I am soooo there.
So…thanks for the fantastic giveaway!!

Boys. Whatever.
I promise that should I win, I will wait for a FEMALE barista to wait on me (even if it means that cranky blonde girl), and I will ONLY drink it with girls. All in your honor.

Well, lucky me. Even though I don’t live in the U.S. currently, I still have a PO Box, AND I’ll be in the U.S. next week. SOOOOOO, what a great “coming home” gift it would be to have a starbucks giftcard in the mail.
