Ya’ll sure don’t disappoint!

My goodness! When I put up that post yesterday afternoon, I thought “I bet no one will even comment ’cause they’ll never see it over the weekend.” After all, the weekend readership here at MinSoFab is significantly lower than the Monday - Friday crowd. Which makes me think that the weekend crew and I should be partying it up together, but oh well.

I should mention that the reason I’m not having a sleepover with my BFF is because I’m not sure if I’m still contagious from earlier this week and wouldn’t dream of making her baby sick!

I’m sure you’re just dying to know what I’ve done so far this weekend. Prepare to be quite underwhelmed:

After reading several of your comments suggesting I get started writing a book, I took my ba-donk-a-donk to our local bookstore and grabbed several books on getting published. It only took about 7.3 minutes before I was thoroughly flipped out at how hard the process is. So, I put those books back on the shelves and headed back to my car.

I headed home where I spent a few minutes playing with two cute puppies. I talked with a friend on the phone about her boy situation (and I quote “Of course I’m not mad at him anymore; I’m IN LOVE with him, Amy Beth! I’m just going to let him think I’m still mad for a few more days.”) I cleaned a little bit. I put away some laundry.

And then I decided I was going to get over my “TV = laziness” phobia and just watch something. Unfortunately, the only thing on was WWF Friday Night SMACKDOWN! And, as interesting as that could be, I am not really your professional wrestling type of girl.

I went to bed, turning off my alarm so I could sleep in this morning. Of course, I forgot to turn off the sound on my cell. Sadly, around 3 a.m., I actually picked up my phone (out of habit, I sleep with it — welcome to the life of working with college students and being on call 24 / 7) and threw it across the room.

Then, at approximately 6:03 a.m., two little puppies decided HELLO MOMMY, IT IS PLAYTIME. I pulled the covers over my head, trying to show them that I was obviously unavailable. They, of course, totally ignored me and jumped onto my bed where they proceeded to use my toes as their new chew toy.

What makes this story really precious is the fact that? The puppies who woke me up at 6:03 a.m. this morning? They’re currently asleep at my feet right now while mommy slaves away at the bloggy.

And now, I’m off to Google “ceramic pottery places” since ya’ll apparently think that the painting of the pottery is The Answer To My Life Problems. I’m not knocking it.

After all, it would definitely be better than the infomercial about the electric yard trimmer that I’m watching right now. “With the WORX 48574 Trimmer, you’ll ENJOY YOUR TIME IN THE YARD! It is as good as or even better than we say it is!”

What a promise.

I am jealous! A whole solitary weekend to do nothing sounds like bliss! Wouldn’t it be cool if people around the world could swap lives for a bit. Guess the grass is always greener…

this post puts my weekend of doing nothing to shame… ah well, I guess that is what happens when one sleeps until 1pm…

in my defense, I had an intense movie viewing night with my friends where we discussed on the technical and storytelling merits of Rambo 4…
