styrofoam also doesn’t do well in the oven even if it is on “warm,” hence the company for dinner on Tuesday smelled Tropical Paradise something or other because the toasted ravioli/styrofoam smell HAD to go away…

Oh my, you really need to come to one of my cooking classes (aka. me and a few close friends getting together and everyone watches me cook). It’s fun stuff.

Since everyone is adding a tidbit for future use:
NEVER put water on a grease/oil fire…use baking soda (not flour-it explodes)…baking soda.

When I was 1st married, I tried to make a homemade pizza on my new pizza stone. I accidentally stuck the pot holder in the oven too. It makes a nice fire. =/

Oh my. I’ve never had styrofoam ignite, although it has melted a few times at work.

Oh, and a word of advice to you… not from experience or anything….

Regular dish soap (like Dawn or Palmolive) does not react the same in a dishwashing machine as dishwasher detergent does. You might… just might… end up doing some serious mopping. But hey, your flloor will be really clean.
