My hair goals have never been higher.

August25

I suppose I should begin by telling you that it’ll probably take me two, maybe three posts to cover my San Antonio trip. I definitely want to show you the trip via pictures, but I also want to share with you about what God spoke into my heart this weekend through the conference.

But let’s keep our priorities in order:

I chose this picture of Beth’s hair because I like that you can get the full idea of just how incredible the height is. I have no idea how girlfriend does it, but I feel fairly confident that there is some backcombing and hairspray involved. Maybe a little dose of miracles from the Lord, as well.

I had the chance to meet a lot of fun people this weekend, starting with sweet Cindy. Here we are just waiting to see Beth’s hair for service to begin.

Cindy (who is responsible for all the pictures by the way) has a fancy-smancy camera that she insisted on using to take random photographs of me when I was least expecting it. Thanks, Cind. You’re a real pal.

Gayle was also there too, even though I’m not so sure that she’s as sweet as Cindy…

Yep, that’s Gayle in her pajamas making fun of me for a little texting problem I may or may not have. What can I say? I like to stay in touch with my peeps.

Side note: Beth Moore definitely said “peeps” from the stage on Friday night. I almost fell out of my chair. I have never been more in awe of her in my entire life.

    Amy Beth,

I love your hair the way it is. It is just beautiful.

I loved the end of the Siesta Session when they called you name to come to the floor… Like there would be another Amy Beth in the crowd.

You are funny, whitty and your ability to share your difficult life with humor, reflection and purpose is truly a gift. You remind me a lot of Chonda Pierce, but “cuter.”

I like your little pony’s to the sides the best at the PJ Party! You are precious – I’m praying for you and your new harvest of souls.

    Blessings and love.

Amy Beth… you are absolutely adorable.
    You have great hair.

sorry to be the lone dissenter here… but Beth’s hair looks a little scary … but that’s just coming from me in 2008… as opposed to 1989… where it seems Beth’s hair originated.

Maybe it’s a Southern vs Mountain states thing. We’re very casual up here in our fleece. It’s a struggle to keep the high heels in decent shape!

I think it’s hysterical that we can’t see your bra, but we can see the stripey black paint.

hahahaha…I’ve done it before w/ a leopard print bra.

I hear ya’ about the white bra. I have a photo from 1995 when a group of us hosted a student run conference.

Needless to say, to this day (13 years later) we still call it the “shiney hmm-hmm” photo.

I look forward to your posts so that I can live through you on this event! : )

AB – I wish I could have attended the pj party and met more of you lovely ladies. But alas, I had a pregnant friend to tend to. I’m glad to see that a good time was had by all.

To trs: I remember back in the original “A Heart like His” study videos… she said her big hair was to balance out her nose. HA!

Gayle… I’m sure it was hairesy not blasphemy. :) You are just the cutest thing… that pic is nothing to be embarrased about.
