Reason #7,261 you need girlfriends in life.

Last night, 7:13 p.m.
Me: “Katie? Are you at home?”
Katie: “No, I’m at dinner with some friends… but what’s wrong?”
Me: “I… I… {sob} justneedtotaaaaaaalk.”
Katie: “Go directly to my house. The door is unlocked. Go to my bedroom, get in my bed and I’ll be right there.”
Me: {sob, sob, sniffle}
Ten minutes later, Katie enters her bedroom to find me under the covers in, um, her bed.
Katie: “I got my food to go so I could be here faster.”
Me: “You left Cracker Barrel for me?”
Katie: “Yes. Now, speak.”
You know it’s real friendship when they’re willing to leave the endless supply of biscuits and cornbread to come listen to you cry in their bed.
Awww…I hope everything’s ok. Let us know how we can help / pray.
I heart Katie…and you too!
Thank You, Lord, for Katie! So awesome to have a friend like that.
Hope she helped make you all better.
okay, but I must say…while I appreciate that her door was unlocked for you…I’m a little concerned for her safety by leaving it unlocked all the time…
God bless Katie!
Does Katie make roadtrips? I could use a friend like that!
Hope you’re feeling better now. Love you!!
Ive never commented but have been watching your blog and i love it! i just wanted to say that i have a couple friends like this too and they are irreplaceable!
Before my dear friend passed away – we would have the best “girlfriend” talks laying in her bed… thats the sign of a true friend….
aawwww. nice friend!
Seriously…that’s a true friend. Hang on to her
What a wonderful friend you have! I don’t have any of those around here…hold on to her!
