I think it’s safe to assume we haven’t reached the age of maturity quite yet.

December9

Lest you think last night’s post where I suggest I may perhaps be on my way to maturity was a little too confident, I present the following actual conversation from my drive home tonight:

Me: “Um, God?  You know The Situation?” (Side note: this isn’t a situation I’ve written about, just so you don’t have to play the guessing game.)

God: “Yep.”

Me: “Well, I know that You said in Your word that vengeance belongs to You, but I would be happy to help in This Particular Situation if You need some assistance.”

Just keepin’ it real, y’all.  Just keepin’ it real.

Did He pat ya on the head and say, “yeah, I think I’ve got this one covered?”

It’s what I hear when I wanna help. Just wonderin’ if He says the same stuff to you.

Can I tell you I have had that same exact conversation with God…I have written about it and you CAN play the guessing game! :)

I’ll have God take care of it though!

I have had that conversation many times with God. And He turned it around on me. Even though I, as a human, do not totally agree, I now ask God for Mercy in the situation or for this person. I guess this is because in a few months I will be the ripe old age of 45.

Thank you for being so real. Sometimes it can be so easy to forget that no matter what I say to God He still knows what I really want to say. And for some reason, He still loves me. And often reminds me that He has it all under control!

I have been there. I have the coffee mug and t-shirt to prove it. And, just because that club requires its members to be bigger people, doesn’t mean that it is easy to belong to. Praying for ya!
