The one upside is that I slept for 16 hours yesterday.
I’ll make this quick and to the point:
I. AM. BORED. OUT. OF. MY. MIND.
To prove my point: at this very moment, I am watching The Golden Girls. I can’t stand this show. And yet, I have exhausted all other channel choices. I would watch a movie but I actually don’t know how to operate the DVD player.
I kid not.
So, I’m not above begging you for help. Here’s what I’m thinking: there are a lot of you that comment here who have blogs I’ve never read before. You know what’s going on in my life, but I have no idea what’s happening in yours! So why don’t you leave me a comment today with a link to a recent post of yours that maybe tells me a little about what’s going on in your life right now? I’ll hop over there from my comfy couch position and take a little peek into your world.
It’s got to be a little better than the orange Gatorade and saltine cracker world I’m living in right now.
sissy…I don’t have a blog…well, I do, but I don’t post…I WEEP that you are bored out of your mind…I have a particular gift for doing absolutely nothing and am sorry that I am not there to assist you in your endeavors.
sorry i can’t help you out since you already read my blog.
i remember days with that sort of boredom… 2 kids later… i’m NEVER bored!
I don’t know how interesting my blog is, but sometimes reading about other people’s lives from beginning to end passes the time… sorry you’re not feeling well!
Just hop on over to my website and you’ll be entertained for minutes…(oh I jest – probably not even that long).
http://cathy-davis.blogspot.com
You know what I don’t like? Being too bored to do anything about the boredom!!
http://mydailyfashionkatie.blogspot.com/
I love reading your blog – it’s so witty – and I absolutely LOVE reading about all of your little adventures and such!
My blog is somewhat more just for random fun – I post a pic of what I wear each day, and it helps to motivate me to look my best, and to see what works and what doesn’t work in terms of my own personal style! Enjoy!
My blog probably isn’t much better than Golden Girls, but I have been known to read shampoo bottles out boredom. So you’re welcome to come visit me!
I was inspired by you, so I’ve started one. But, I haven’t actually written anything yet. So, this won’t be exceedingly helpful, but you can at least see how pretty it is – that will take up at least 5 seconds. http://inhershoes7.blogspot.com/
Ok, I will personally come over and fix/set up/explain your DVD player. Just let me know when. No one should have to watch the Golden Girls for lack of a DVD player. Do you not have one on your computer?
You really are bored! =) My post today shares what’s going on, and I have my 100 Things, too.
http://momintransition.typepad.com/my_weblog/2008/12/do-you-ever-set-any-goals-at-the-beginning-of-each-new-year—sometimes-i-do-but-i-dont-make-a-big-deal-out-of-my-goals-mo.html
http://momintransition.typepad.com/my_weblog/2008/11/happy-100th-pos.html
Well, I don’t know how exciting my blog is, especially to a young thing like yourself, but I hope it is a bit more captivating than the Golden Girls…although Blanche does have a pretty exciting “social” life! Hope you’re feeling better soon!
I can’t direct you to my blog right now. It’s filled w/ youtube vids on the main page & youtube is having difficulties. I guess you could just skip over those.
If you get bored, you’re welcome over here!!
Um, right now we’re in full Christmas prep mode. If you go over to the old blog you’ll see pictures of 2 boys playing with new trains, the various Christmas programs, and as you scroll down you can read the most boring post known to man, my To Do list with comments on how I’m doing. Of course that was last week. I’d update it, but it’s so boring!
If you click on my name, you’ll be able to read all about my outfit for a work Christmas party, car troubles, and other everyday happenings–a thrilling read.
I am sure you could use some comic relief today, so please look at my Christmas post.
http://theneinasts.blogspot.com/2008/12/happy-howlidays.html
Don’t forget to scroll down until you start laughing at the pictures!
And, if the blogs fail you, you could always call Leslie Ruth to come start your DVD for you! She’s a good friend like that!
I can’t stand that show either (my friend loves it…not sure why), and I *think* reading my blog would be better than watching it (he he – could be wrong though…). I love finding new blogs, so hopefully you’ll be able to pass the time more quickly!
see – that’s where knitting comes in good – blankets, scarves, hats, socks – all better than the Golden Girls!
Amy Beth, I am so sorry you are bored. I agree though, the more channels you have the less there is to watch. I have only recently started reading your blog and have only commented once before (I think) but if you are really that bored you can read my randomness. Shouldn’t take long. If you go back a month or two you can read 200 random things about me…I can’t link directly to it from work though.
Blog stalking does help one pass the time though so enjoy your day of it.
Oh, I hope you do get to feeling better soon!
That’s such a bummer.
I’ve recorded some sad thoughts lately, so skip this one if you are looking for a pick-me-up.

I can link you to hours and hours of blog surfing of Christmas decorations.
Both BooMama (http://boomama.net/2008/12/15/christmas-tour-of-homes-2008/) and Julia (http://hookedonhouses.net/2008/12/14/hooked-on-holiday-house-tours-let-the-party-begin/) are having home tours.
Mine is up at http://mom2mkei.blogspot.com/2008/12/tour.html.
Other than the tour, my blog has been woefully ignored.
Hope you are feeling better soon!
Oh, that is the pits! When it’s bass fishing, Golden Girls or Ron Popeil and his latest slicer/dicer gizmo! So I’ll happily share our blog address! It’s a brand new blog – I just started it last week! There are only four posts. It won’t keep you busy for long, but you’ll be completely in our loop in no time!
Feel better soon!
http://www.baerandmoo.blogspot.com
Nothing too exciting at mine…but check it out anyway…..oh and might I suggest watching the movie Elf to help you take your mind off of things!
I hope your feeling better soon!
I’d love for you to stop by, Amy! I’ll clean off the couch for ya.
I just had a birthday AND just graduated, so I couldn’t decide. You choose:

http://taleofakansasgirl.blogspot.com/2008/12/school-day-memory-my-final-graduation.html
I just started seeing a potential Mr. Maybe. I wish I could write a long post about it, but part of me is scared – so I’m commenting here instead.
irony. Although, you are more than welcome to look at my sparse blog – i put up some funny photos yesterday. http://magnificentlyprivileged.blogspot.com/
I have been pursued by a nice guy from band (yes, college marching band – he plays Baritone, I play the clarinet – but in our defense we get to go to the National Championship for free next month) who I met 4 years ago but never really spent time with. He is a Christian or as I like to say, into the “Jesus-thing”. He knows what he wants to do in life and is very good at it (software engineer). He feels called to spend His career making money to support missions. We exchange multiple emails daily – like a sick version of You’ve Got Mail. He thinks I’m interesting and our lunch date yesterday lasted 2 1/2 hours.
I guess this is hard for me to wrap my mind around because I didn’t like him first. Does that make sense?
He is nerdy and not the sexiest man of the year. But I can’t help shaking the feeling that if I ended things now I will regret it later.
I am a 22 year old dating newbie. Do I feel unsure because I’m not that into him or is it my fear of the unknown? Am I going along because he is the first guy to actively and sweetly persue me in a manner God would approve? I need to continue to pray about this.
I know we’ve never met but I greatly respect your advice and thoughts.
Hope you feel better ASAP!
Oh AB…the doctor told me two weeks ago there weren’t any recent flu victims in my area, but it sure did find it’s way to TN, didn’t it? I couldn’t agree with you more on The Golden Girls so I know it must be pretty rough on your couch to stoop to that!!
So anyway, I wrote a way too long post yesterday that should kill about 10 minutes of your time if you want to slowly work your way through it, or if you want to take a look at my recent photo sessions you can do that too. Random story time…If the ice on the ground doesn’t get in my way I’m planning on having lunch with a friend from Nashville that’s in town. I’ll be sure to tell her to watch for that influenza!

Feel better soon, please!!
What a fun idea! My daughter calls that “blog-stalking”.
I call it fun! I have even made a new friend doing that. Well, okay we;ve never met IRL, but a friend all the same. Have fun! the time will fly now!
There’s no time for boredom here! Here’s a link to the Big News. There are a few more recent posts after that with the daily stuff. Hang in there! Get well soon!
http://sorcoast.blogspot.com/2008/11/family-news.html
Hi Amy Beth!
I found your blog through lots of scotts sometime ago and have been reading ever since!
I don’t comment much and I don’t write much on my own blog, but feel free to take a look anyway! Hopefully it will add some cheeriness to your day! God Bless.
emily
Lots of comments already. Here (http://www.kraedesign.com/blog/?p=426) is what is going on with me. And Here(http://www.kraedesign.com/blog/?p=278) are two (http://www.kraedesign.com/blog/?p=275) more popular posts on my blog.
I don’t think I’ve ever left a comment before, which I guess officially makes me a lurker. But I know how terrible it is to be sick and bored!!! So, just like some others have said, I’m not sure how fascinating this will be for you, but here’s my latest post:
http://darlabrown.blogspot.com/2008/12/past-progressive.html

Well, my life’s not super exciting. I think all the latest news is pretty much in the 7 posts on my front page. Just start at the top!
Hope you get to feeling better soon!
Hi! I have enjoyed keeping up with you via your blog. We’re in different phases of life (I’m 39, pastor’s wife, 4 kids, homeschooler) but we’re sisters in Christ, so we have that in common. Take care of yourself!
Sorry, my blog didn’t link in my previous comment.
I always love reading what you have to say. I’m a single christian gal, so I think we have a lot in common.
Since I know you have a special love for college girls, I think you will have a good laugh over my latest post.

You obviously have plenty of blog reading to do, but in case you need one more http://www.justanothersmith.blogspot.com
The last post included a story about a cute small dog so you might enjoy it. Hope you feel better soon!
I haven’t been updating my blog a lot lately because my husband and I just had our first child, a little girl. Most of the recent posts are pics of her and updating family. Enjoy!
I don’t have a blog but you could spend two hours reading a precious and funnylove story that is pg rated. Go to http://www.pioneerwoman.com and read her black heels love story. Trust me.
Hi – I’m a semi-new reader of your blog. I haven’t commented yet, but I guess this is a decent way to start. I just added you to my blogroll the other day – and I just wanted to say that I love-love-love your blog. It’s quickly becoming one of my most favorite breaks in the work day.
Blessings!

Ooh… I’m coming back on a downtime day to read all your commenters blogs!
Sorry you are bored. That’s the worst part of being sick – too bad sick days aren’t relaxing.
Well AB, I’m an old lady compared to you … and my recently blogging has been fairly complain-y so go at your own risk!

Oh what a cute idea….sorry you were so bored that you resorted to reading everyone’s blog.
That could be a good thing.
Ok I am gonna be honest…I am kinda sad you don’t like the Golden Girls…but alas I will get over it.
I am glad you found something to do by reading all of these fabulous blogs…I enjoyed looking at a few of them
)
Hope you are feeling better!
I don’t have a blog, but I read yours all the time. I can’t imagine being as bored as you think you are right now, but this too shall pass…………..enjoy it!!! I hope you feel better soon!
Seems like you’ll be spending your empty time now reading through all your comments before actually clicking on any blog addresses. You’ve got quite a following! Readers are lurking, stalking, and now coming out of the woodwork to tell you about themselves.
I just started reading your blog back in October. I think of you often in regards to Roomie. My heart still aches over that relationship. I pray reconciliation will take place and you’ll be patient while waiting.
My blog is mainly one of family happenings, pictures, and an occasional free alert or coupon codes. I’ve been blogging for four years, so enjoy!
Here is mine:
