Daily Peek: A is for apple.

I used to not like apples, but in my new attempt to eat several servings of fruits and vegetables a day, I’ve rekindled our romance one bite at a time.

I was looking for the “like” feature, then realized I wasn’t on FB anymore.

Is that a golden delicious? Girl, you need to try a Braeburn or a Pink Lady or best of all – Fuji!! “Delicious” apples really aren’t, in comparison! =)

I agree with Bethany. The best, in my opinion, are honeycrisp. But they are rare to find this time of year and a little more spendy.

I find that for me, it’s easier to eat apples and other fruit if I cut them up. Maybe it’s because that is how I ate them as a kid. I don’t know–but it works.

WAY TO GO, AB!! I’m proud of you!

I’m with Bethany – go with Fuji. They are crisp enough to really crack when you bite off a piece, but still sweet. Royal Gala would be second. Granny Smith if you like tart flavors.

NEVER Red Delicious. Blech.

I am in the Fuji, Gala and Granny camp.

I used to love Granny Smith apples exclusively – but they’re a bit too tart for my taste these day. Fuji and Gala are perfect though!
