I’ll have the car out back, Eric.
March21
I woke up this morning thinking about Katie going to marriage counseling today; since she and Eric are full-time students (graduating this May!), they had to schedule ALL of their sessions for one day — pretty intense, right?
I decided to send her (whom I call “little one” affectionately and yet accurately — she is awfully little) a quick text to let her know she was on my mind this morning:
“Been thinking about how exciting it is that you’re going to pre-marital counseling today! One step closer, little one! YAY!”
I got a reply within seconds:
“Can you come pick Eric up after we break up?”
Yeah…marriage counseling can bring up some nasty topics. We went to dinner w/ a couple last year after one of their counseling sessions. Whoa…can you say awkward?
If I remember correctly, we left the restaurant w/ the guys in one car & the girls in the other.
Yeah…I’d say that’s pretty accurate. Bless her little heart…
Marriage is HARD but oh so worth it. I’m glad they’re getting the chance to dig in before the big day!
Haha, spoken like a true woman in marriage counseling!
A sense of humor is the BEST thing you can bring to a marriage. I’d say she’s off to a good start.
Marriage counseling is worth it, but it is sooo hard, especially when you pack it all into one day. INTENSE! I hope that they’ll be holding hands and laughing by the end of the day!
PS…there is a “Buy Viagra” in these comments. Who knew that a pink bloggy would attrack Viagra…haha!
Oh, this made me laugh & laugh. My husband and I have had our moments… This is only the beginning for her! Best of luck to them.
