I write a lot about waiting for my turn at love.

Sometimes I forget that you’re not always with me, that you only see small bits of my days.

You don’t lay with me on the blue blanket underneath the weeping willow tree.

You don’t see Him there with me, the girl with dirt on her jeans, wind sending her hair flying.

You don’t see me falling for Him over and over again during this season of singleness.

So, in case I forget to tell you, I’m the single girl.

But He’s never left His girl alone.
