Daily Peek: An advance purchase.

When I went to pick out Mother’s Day cards last Saturday, I picked up a pretty card for a mother-in-law and almost put it with the others in my hand. Even though I don’t know my future mother-in-law yet, I can’t help but already want to tell her how I’ve loved her before I knew her.
I’ve regretted putting the card back on the shelf ever since that moment so I went back today and got one. I plan to write to her tonight, seal the card and continue to wait until I can give it to her one day down the road, hopefully the day of my wedding to her son.

Wow…what an interesting idea!
You make all us daughters-in-law look bad.
Super idea! My mother-in-law gave me a card the day of my wedding. (Actually, it was left on my pillow the first night) and I cry every time I read the words that are so special to me. To think that she really didn’t even know if I would be a good daughter-in-law or wife to her son and yet she trusted the Lord that I was indeed the one for her son! Hopefully, I have lived up to her expectations!
what an incredible idea! i have a journal to give to my future husband (i’ve been working on it for 3 years now…and yes i’m VERY single) but never thought about the inlaws. your post a bit ago about them has got me thinking and praying for them. THANKS!!!
