Why am I awake at 7 a.m. on a Saturday morning?

Y’all have been cracking me up about actually liking the accidentally formed Survey Saturday, especially when you copy the survey and put them on your own blogs.  I think the surveys are a bit narcissistic, but then again, I guess most blog posts are, right?

I actually like it when y’all copy the survey and do it yourself ’cause it lets me see parts of your personality that I might not otherwise see.  So, feel free to copy and, if you do fill it out on your own blog, let me know so I can come read what you had to say.

1. Where was the very last place you went besides your house?

The alterations place, to pick-up my bridesmaid dress!

2. What are you doing tonight?

Not quite sure yet… maybe downtown?

3. Who last texted you?

Cate, Cate, Cate!

4. Do you have a secret that you’ve never told anyone?

Yep.

5. Do you get mad easily?

I can at times, but I wouldn’t say it’s often.

6. Do you talk about your feelings or hide them?

I write them.

7. Do you prefer warm or cold weather?

Hmm.  Can “autumn-like weather” be a choice, please?

8. Who was the last person you were in a car with?

Cate, of course.

9. What color are your eyes?

Typically blue, but they change color with my emotions.  No, I’m serious.  They turn different colors when I’m happy, angry, sad, surprised, etc.  It’s kind of weird and yet cool at the same time.

10. Have you ever given up on someone but then went back to them later?

Yes.  Can’t say I recommend it.

11. Have you ever thrown your cell phone in anger?

No, but I wanted to once when it wouldn’t let me answer calls.

12. Has anyone told you a secret lately that you aren’t allowed to tell anyone?

Yes.  It’s part of my role within Starlite.

13. Honestly, if you could go back six months and change something, would you?

Absolutely.

14. Are you wearing any clothes that don’t belong to you?

Yes, Cate’s flip flops that I “borrowed” awhile back.  Sorry again, Cate.

15. Do you have a lot on your mind at the moment?

Yes.  Trying to make some big decisions in several different areas.

16. What side of the bed do you sleep on?

What side of it don’t I sleep on?

17. What is your favorite thing to shop for?

Gifts for someone else!

18. Who knows you better than you know yourself?

I’m not sure that anyone does, actually.

19. What are you doing this summer?

Working, wedding-ing, vacationing and resting.  Lot’s of -ings.

20. Do you miss your past?

Very rarely.

21. Did you ever have tea parties when you were younger?

I don’t think so.

22. What is your favorite line from a movie?

“I suppose I think about love more than anyone really should.  I’m constantly amazed by it’s sheer power to alter and define our lives.” – The Holiday

23. Would you rather be the opposite sex?

NO!

24. What would you never name one of your children?

Shamu.

25. What is the coolest restaurant you’ve ever been to?

Copper Cellar in Knoxville.  It’s my favorite restaurant of all time.

26. Where do you go when you want to get a really good sub sandwich?

I don’t really eat those.  Fact: I cannot (and I mean CANNOT) go into a Subway because the smell makes me gag and I eventually find myself throwing up in the bathroom.  It’s been over 10 years since I’ve walked into a Subway.  For real.

27. What style of house would you like to live in?

Honestly? I just really want a garden tub.  But if it had a laundry chute as well, I think I’d cry from happiness.

28. Do you flip the channel when commercials come on?

I don’t watch tv.  But really.  I don’t watch tv.

29. Have you seen any of the Saw movies?

No.  The last horror movie I saw was Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

30. What was your favorite book as a child?

Anything to do with The Babysitter’s Club.  Oh my word.  Y’all have no idea how much I loved it.

OK, so this is true…..I actually knew a kid at the school I taught at who’s name was Shamu. Sad, I know, but I thought I’d let you know.

Have a good weekend!

I had bit of a shudder from Michele’s comment. The worst name I encountered while teaching was Venus Windsea.
I love that your eyes change colour with emotion. Mine just change depending on what I am wearing. Either blue or a hazel-green. IT’s about the only time I co-ordinate.

My parents have a laundry chute. It’s actually not as cool as the one my grandma used to have. But still. It’s pretty cool. They also have a gazebo. I like their house.

Third comment in the row? Yes, because I want to make clear that I *loved* the Babysitter’s Club, as in past tense. I am not still reading them at 26. Just had to clear that up.
