Did you think I’d forget just because I’m out of town?
1. What bill do you hate paying the most?
Rent. I can’t wait to move out of this house. Just one more month left in it!
2. Do you miss being a child?
I miss the idea of being a child, but not my actual childhood.
3. What chore do you hate the most?
Is “all of them” a choice? Okay, if I had to choose: vacuuming.
4. Where was the last place you had a romantic dinner?
A little restaurant in a small town in North Carolina.
5. If you could go back and change one thing, what would it be?
If I had the ability to change anything, I would change an experience from when I was a kid. Vague, vague!
6. Name of your first grade teacher?
Mrs. Clark, with the Snoopy-themed classroom.
7. What do you really want to be doing right now?
Talking to a friend I miss.
8. What did you want to be when you grew up?
I would just tell people I wanted to be “something that helps people.” On occasion, I narrowed it down to: a teacher, a “baby doctor”, President of the United States, ballerina and mother.
9. How many colleges did you attend?
One; I was there for five years in which I got my undergrad in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations (SHOCKER?) and my masters in Youth and Family Ministries.
10. Why did you choose the shirt that you have on right now?
Because there’s only so many shirts to choose from in my suitcase.
11. What are your thoughts on gas prices?
I’m so thankful I live in a country where I can afford to put gas in my car.
12. Last thought before going to sleep last night?
“Maybe tomorrow?”
13. First thought when the alarm went off this morning?
“Maybe today?”
14. What famous person would you like to have dinner with?
Beth Moore. I know a lot of people say that, but I can’t help it. It’s really who I’d pick. And, for the record, I’d say “I really like your hair” at the start of the meal and then I would not say ANOTHER BLESSED WORD FOR THE ENTIRE MEAL JUST SO I COULD LISTEN TO EVERYTHING SHE SAID.
15. Have you ever crashed your vehicle?
A couple of little fender benders, but no actual wrecks.
16. If you didn’t have to work, would you volunteer?
Absolutely. In fact, I’m hoping to volunteer somewhere this fall, hopefully a children’s hospital. I spent a summer volunteering in a hospital when I was younger and I loved it, even though it was heartbreakingly sad when patients I helped take care of died, especially the babies.
17. Get up early or sleep in?
Depends… it’s hard for me to sleep in, but I sure do like trying. I haven’t slept more than five hours a night for the last week, so I’m pretty tired.
18. What is your favorite cartoon character?
Can I just pick the entire Jetson family?
19. When did you first start feeling old?
I’m still waiting on that. I wish I could feel like I’m old!!! (Words that will haunt me later, I’m sure.)
20. Favorite lunch meat?
I don’t eat lunch meat. I still eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
21. What do you get every time you go into Target?
It seems like it’s laundry detergent, but I l-o-v-e laundry detergent so I’m happy.
22. Do you think marriage is an outdated ritual?
HellohavewemetmynameisAmyBethandIcan’twaittogetmarried.
23. Favorite movie you wouldn’t want anyone to find out about?
I certainly wouldn’t call it my favorite movie, but there are parts of Twilight that I liked. BUT I have major reservations about the whole concept behind that storyline so I’m not too vocal about liking parts of it. I read the first book and watched the movie because parents of girls we served in Starlite kept asking my opinion on whether it was appropriate or not. I’m very conflicted on it. But that’s another post for another time.
24. What’s your favorite drink?
Diet Crush. It has no caffeine, so I can drink it.
25. Who from high school would you like to run into?
I had this really good friend named Roberto that I’ve never been able to track down. I’d really, really like to know how his life is going these days. Can’t find him — or anyone that knows anything about him.
26. What radio station is your car radio tuned to right now?
Typically pop but occasionally country.
27. Worst relationship mistake that you wish you could take back?
Staying in a relationship that was just awful because I was afraid.
28. Have you ever had to use a fire extinguisher for its intended purposes?
Yes. Dinner is served!
29. Do you have a teddy bear?
No, but do Snuggles y Cuddles count?
30. Do you go to church?
Yes, many — depends on which town I’m in on Sunday morning.
31. How old are you?
I am 24 years and 277 days old.

I’m with you on hating vacuuming. I’d much rather scrub a toilet 10 times than vacuum for 5 minutes. Oh, and the lunch meat? Totally do not like either. If I eat a sandwich, its either out and a nice hot sandwich, or its peanut butter and honey. When I was in school, my mom would pack my bread (lightly buttered) and sandwich meat separately (I would eat sandwich meat on its own, but not with break). We had a rule that we had to eat our lunch like our mom’s packed it, so we couldn’t take apart sandwiches and things. A teacher saw me eating my sandwich components separately, and made me eat it as a sandwich. Needless to say, I DID NOT enjoy the sandwich.

#27 – I can empathize with that sentence way too much. I pray your heart is being healed by the Healer in a spectacular way… because only He is capable.
