Seriously, ABB, can we be friends, PLEASE? Pretty Pretty Please!?

ok. wait. that sounded like begging.

Man. That was begging. And that makes me one nod short of stalkerish.

Ok.

Let me try this again:
YOU CRACK ME UP.
And I admire so many things about you.
And I think I would be really good at sending you hand written cards and letters and such on a sometimes weekly basis. (because thats what I DO TOO!)
And you are basically awesome.

And this is still sounding stalkerish.

ei ei ei.

Lord, help me.

I share your profound love of bookstores. Libraries affect me the same way. A feeling of bliss washes over me as I step through the doors. I can almost feel the weight of whatever might be bothering me lifting off my shoulders.

When I'm stressed, I used to head to the bookstore or the library. Can't do that now since the only bookstores in my little city are tiny, tiny, tiny with barely room to move around to say nothing of actually hunkering down with a book. And I wanted to weep when I visited the library. Only a handful of new books purchased in the last twenty years. I'm.Not.Even.Kidding. Plus the books are all in this foreign language I'm trying to learn and sure don't know well enough to, you know, READ anything beyond a kindergarten level yet.

Although I'm an optimist and just recently picked up a book in Spanish by Fannie Flagg I haven't read yet. That's my goal for next year. Be able to read "Me muero por ir al cielo".

Bookstores have always been a favorite "date" place for the hubby and me. We go our separate ways for a bit, picking up books and magazines to peruse, then find a spot we can sit next to each other and hunker down to read and share what we're reading. We can literally spend hours like that. Recently found a bookstore in a nearby city that has chairs to sit in AND a coffee bar. Woot!

I've heard of someone giving the following two books together as a bridal shower gift: "The Joy of Cooking" and "The Joy of S*x". Appropriate, don't you think?
