Pictures that might have been tonight’s Daily Peek if I could find my camera connector cord thing-y.

It’s missing, but no worries — it’s here somewhere.  It will surface before departure on Saturday.

With that said, here’s what could have been options for tonight’s Daily Peek:

Option 1: A picture of the bank, where I did a currency exchange.  The rate is particularly good right now!

Option 2: A picture of me running through the sprinklers in the yard across from Cate’s house.  Here’s how it happened: I was driving her home, saw the sprinklers, thought about how hot my (still) un-air-conditioned house was going to be when I got some, pulled the car into her driveway and took off in a dead run towards the sprinklers whilst Cate yelled “I SHOULD TAKE A PICTURE OF THIS FOR YOUR BLOG!”

Option 3: Two wee little puppies, currently laying tangled up like a pretzel on my lap as I write this.  It’s hard to tell where one puppy ends and the other begins, just the way it should be.

So.  If you were taking a picture of something from your day, what would it look like in words?

And remember… they say a picture is worth a thousand words, so feel free to use the 816 I didn’t need for this post.

P.S. – I do not regret the sprinkler action for even one moment.  Totally worth it.  In fact, you should try it.  (Side ponytail optional.)

First off…where are the puppies going while your away?! You can ship them to WA, I will love them and squeeze them for the duration of your trip if need be!

Now, my pictures in words:

Husband starting the Peterbilt, then getting out of the Peterbilt to come talk to me and then me pointing that said Peterbilt is rolling backward, toward the neighbor’s house.

A one year old falling into her kiddie pool, came up sputtering but didn’t pitch the royal fit she’s known for.

A scale reading 4.5 lbs lighter than the day before. Hallelujah!

A baby inside of a dishwasher.

A four year old carrying around me purse pretending to go get coffee.

Painted fingernails and toenails on my favorite 4 year old.

Candy cigerettes!! My friend’s birthday was yesterday. I went to this great little candy shop in the mall that carries all the old classics from when we were kids. I got candy cigs and pop rocks for all of us. We pulled out our candy cigs and tried to act “cool” as we all tried to figure out how to even fake smoke at which point we realized that they had fake “smoke” in them. There was no end to the giggles that pursued!

Posting the sprinkler picture is not an option. What’s even funnier is I did the same thing yesterday. The kids were playing in the sprinkler…having the best time ever and I was jealous. After about 15 minutes of standing in the scorching heat watching, I remembered that I didn’t have anything to do that evening so I ran through…clothes and all…for about 5 10 minutes.

Wish I would have had my camera to take some pictures!

Mine would be a picture of the annoying dog across the street who barks all night. He got loose this morning and started running down the road as fast as he could.

A picture of my husband’s family, gathered in the living room of a beach condo, singing everything from “Lean on Me” to “Puff the Magic Dragon” to Sugarland’s “It Happens” while Jason and his dad play the guitar.

the adorable side pony tails I did for my two younger daughters because my hair is too short and really wouldn’t look too chic on me anyway.
