Daily Peek: À la Bridget Jones’ Diary.
A very rainy Thursday afternoon, waiting for the company shuttle when I notice the girl waiting beside me walking towards a car that has pulled up to pick her up. As she rushes to get in out of the rain, her boyfriend (fiancé? husband?) rushes even more quickly to open the door for her. Once she’s inside, he starts to drive off and then stops, almost as if he’s forgotten something. He leans over, kisses her on the forehead and then, with that important matter settled, begins to drive off.
I, lost in the romantic moment I’ve just witnessed, begin walking towards the arriving shuttle whilst not paying attention and quickly find myself falling down the stairs, effectively hitting each and every last one as I make my way to the pavement.
To add insult to injury, the shuttle driver most certainly did not kiss me on the forehead when I boarded.

Aww.
Oh my! You make me laugh!
Sorry, I couldn’t help it!
What I meant to say was…. Oh, I do hope you are okay.
Seriously, I have no words.
Oh girl, I feel your pain. Only the most talented can fall down the steps.
On second thought… most of the shuttle drivers that I have been blessed with-I’m fine with them not kissing my forehead.
You dodged a bullet friend!
This post probably got the biggest laugh ever from me! Hope you’re okay! : )
seriously! that is hiiiiiii-larious! sorry to laugh at you friend, but it totally could have happened to me. im just as clumsy.
Girl, you make me smile! This was so cute – even though I am oh-so-sorry you fell down the steps.
I totally empathize because I have been known to fall UP steps. Yep. You heard me. The most recent incident was when I was at a kind of an assembly thing on the floor of the college coliseum where my son and I were visiting for his orientation. We lost track of each other and someone, noting the lost look on his face, asked if they could help. “No, I’m just looking for my mo…”
At that point he heard a giant rattle and crash and said, “Never mind, I think I know where she is.”
