I don’t think he was amused.

September1

On the first day of math class, our professor made it crystal clear that our cell phones were not only not to be used during class, but actually not to even be visible during class.  He’s got eyes like an eagle so, when a girl sitting to the right of me pulled her cell phone out yesterday during the middle of class, he immediately noticed –

“All cell phones are to be turned off AND put away in your bags during class.”

The girl put the cell phone back in her purse and then raised her hand –

“Sir, I don’t know if it matters to you, but I wasn’t pulling out my phone to text.”

Slight pause and then –

“I was just using it as a mirror to check my make-up.”

Oh mercy! That is hilarious. Before I got my iPhone, my cell phone had a mirror on it and occasionally, I would do the same thing. Guilty!

She should have said that she was getting it out to use as a calculator. She’s obviously not a quick thinker.
