Is there any way to force them to have MORE babies for me to love?

Seeing as my best friend from childhood actually already gave birth and all, this post is a wee bit late. BUT, in my defense, I was looking through some pictures yesterday and couldn’t believe that I didn’t show you the baby shower that her mother, sisters, friend Amber and I gave her!

Ashley and her husband had a baby boy, which is great except for the fact that baby showers for boys are sometimes hard to make “cute.” My responsibility for the shower was the invitations, so I just want to go on the record as saying that I can’t take any credit for the unbelievable cuteness you’re about to view below.

(Also for the record: the invitations were darling but I forgot to take a picture of them. WHAT WAS I THINKING?!?)

(Speaking of mail… I love mail. Sending it, getting it, reading it.)

(I used to sing that Blue’s Clues mail song when I would read my mail in the Starlite office. You know that song, right? “Here’s the mail, it never fails, it makes me want to wag my tail, when it comes I want to wail… MAIL!!!”)

(They used to make fun of me, but did I let that stop me from singing? NEGATIVE.)

Ladies and, um, gentlemen, I present The Cutest Boy Baby Shower Known To Man:

So, it looks just like a dump truck, right? Prepare to be amazed.

Mr. Dump Truck was actually the host for chips and salsa, OH YES HE WAS.

Oh, but that wasn’t all… every good baby shower has to have a cake, right?

That’s right: a “dirt” cake in a dump truck. Can you even handle the cuteness?

For Ashley’s gift, I decided to create a little gift basket type thing. The “basket” part of it was actually this darling diaper caddy! I put a little towel, some washcloths and a dinosaur in, too. RAWR, Ashley! (It means I love you in dinosaur.)

Unwrapped gift

I tied it up in tulle because there is no end to my love for tulle. Oh, and I got Ashley a little gift too — a loaf of bread from her favorite bakery. Because, hello, who doesn’t need their own loaf of bread when they’re pregnant?

During the shower, I picked up the tulle and ribbon from my gifts once she had opened them and spontaneously made a little tutu for her toddler daughter, Grace.

The best part of almost all your friends getting married before you? BABIES, THEY START HAVING BABIES.

And I get to enjoy the fruit of their labors without even having to have an epidural myself.
