Because what more does a girl need than a camera, gun and big hair?

A local family recently asked me to do their Christmas pictures, so we headed to an old mill in town to try to get some “different” shots for this year’s Christmas card. I’ve never done a session there before but, after seeing the beautiful brick and broken glass, I’m absolutely in love with the place.

We did a few pictures of everyone together to make sure we got something for the Christmas card…

But since we had a bit of extra time, we decided to take the opportunity to get some “fun” shots, too!

My camera and I will definitely be heading back to get more photos there, stat. So excited to have a new place in town to shoot!

(Photographs, not guns.)

(Though, if needed, I could wield a gun with the best of them.)

(Wait, what? You don’t believe me?)

Junior year of college, y’all, Cara’s dad taught me how to shoot a gun.

(He also once infamously sat in a rocking chair on his front porch with a shotgun across his lap when a boy was coming to their house to pick me up for a date.)

(The boy was scared.)

(As he should have been.)

And one more thing, for y’all in Texas with the big hair! I’ve had a few emails lately about coming to Texas to do some photo sessions. If it looks like there’s enough interest, I’ll be coming your way in 2010 (North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia are also on the short list right now). If you’re from any of those areas and at all interested, please email me now (amybethbullard AT gmail DOT com) so I can have you in mind as I begin working out more definite plans.

(Also, you Texas girls? If I’m wrong about y’all having big hair? Please don’t tell me. There are some things I’d just rather not know.)
