Finding that elusive “i.”
During the 2010 – 2011 school year,
I am going to be going on more dates
than I’ve been on in my entire life.
No, I have not joined an online dating site;
I’m just going to be busy
“dating” the fab five.

It all started this summer
when I realized I needed to spend time with each of them
one-on-one.
Typically, whenever I have them,
I have multiple ones of them at a time.
I do my best to give each girl individualized attention,
but it is hard when you try to do that for several girls at once.
So, I started thinking, and I came up with this idea:
what if every month,
I took each of the girls on a “girls’ date”
(of my choice, to keep things fair!)
so that she and I could spend quality time
with each other?
The girls were thrilled with the idea,
except for Olivia, she really didn’t get it
but then again, she is just two years old.
I decided to come up with a list of potential date ideas
and I’ve done just that this summer, jotted down in my phone
so I wouldn’t forget the park or the ice cream shop.

It’s going to be a good year of dates,
I do believe.
After all, every girl wants to feel like she’s special
on her own.
You know, there’s an “I” in each of their names.

Angelina
Aviean
Juliana
Olivia
Our girls’ dates are just going to help me
find those “i’s” more easily.
